Biography

Ma Xiaorong, MD, graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and studied under Professor Cao Yilin and Professor Qi Zuoliang. Dr. Ma has been engaged in medical aesthetics and plastic surgery for more than ten years. Dr. Ma specializes in oculoplastic surgery, fat grafting and contouring, autologous fat facial filling, breast plastic surgery, facial rejuvenation, treatment of superficial hemangiomas and vascular malformations, and plastic surgery for congenital deformities in children. Dr. Ma served as principal investigator for one National Natural Science Foundation of China project and one Shanghai Jiao Tong University Science and Technology Innovation Project. Dr. Ma participated in the completion of one National Natural Science Foundation of China project, one research project of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and two key research projects of the Shanghai Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission. As first author or corresponding author, Dr. Ma has published more than 20 academic papers in core journals and 12 papers in international SCI-indexed journals. Dr. Ma is the associate chief translator of the monograph Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery of Upper Face.
